Veleno, Seider, Kuffner, Smith make their mark at Prospects

Detroit’s three most recent first-round draft choices – from left, Filip Zadina, Joe Veleno and Moritz Seider – will command much of the attention at the Prospects Tournament this weekend.
According to information acquired by Hockey Weekly, the Red Wings have hired Mike Barwis, former U-M football strength and conditioning coach, as its director of sports science and human performance. Barwis also is host of the Discovery Channel series, “American Muscle.”
